Our new and final album "All Empires Fall" will be out on all your favorite streaming platforms on August 25th. Find the useful links here or in the bottom right of this website.
The album will be released on vinyl via Shield Recordings on November 17th, coinciding with our last show, which thus happens to be the release show. Pre-orders will follow in due time.

Very special announcement!
The people who know us know we take our booze seriously. We decided it was time to release a special bottle of rum for our 15th birthday.
For this rum Sweet Empire collaborated with Terschellinger company King Cask- Dam Dranken. This small batch Carribean blended rum consists of: 5 year old Barbados, 2 to 8 year old Venezuela, 3 year old Dominican, and unaged Jamaican rum.
All non-chill filtered, unsweetened and without any additives. This blend will further ripen for a short period of time in a Woodford Reserve Bourbon barrel on Terschelling from 26-01-2023 till 21-05-2023. After tasting it, it was decided to bring it to down from 65% to a drinking strength of 52.2%.

The ordered bottles can be picked up at our 15th anniversary gig @ De Groote Weiver the 3rd of june. It will be a very small batch of bottles available so don't sleep on it if you'd like to have a bottle of glorious SE rum.

Besides 2023 will be the last for Sweet Empire (for a while), it is also the year that we will celebrate our 15 years anniversary!
In what better fashion could we celebrate this than with a show at one of our favorite local venues, with our favorite bands from!
We hope to see you June 3rd at De Groote Weiver (Wormerveer, NL) where we will be celebrating alongside Dissociates (UK), As We Go (DE), and Slekt!
Sweet Empire - 2008-2023
After 15 years we have decided to put Sweet Empire on an indefinite pause. Though not before we have a few more occassions to celebrate with you: release of album #4, 15-years anniversary celebration, and some (final) shows!
So let’s have the best of (last?) times shall we?
