2012 Recap - 2013 Forecast
So 2012 is coming to an end. It has been a fun year to say the least.
What have we been up to?
After releasing our album late 2011 we have been busy doing shows throughout this year. 2012 saw the longest Sweet Empire tour to date, through Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, France, Wales, England, and Belgium. One of the things we're really proud of is opening for Hot Water Music and La Dispute in Prague. We were also lucky to have met some great new friends/bands in the likes of: Social Distrust, The Kabeedies, Ants!, Irish Handcuffs, The Liberation Service, and lots more. So yeah, besides some hospital visits, 2012 has been very kind to us.
What will 2013 bring us?
Probably a lot more shows and hopefully some new recordings. The first show will be in our hometown and will be with Kepi Ghoulie and Sons Of Buddha. Two days after that show we will head out to the UK for 11 days, this time going all the way up to Scotland for the first time. We're pretty stoked to say the least. Whisky and (vegan) haggis!
We're also very busy writing new songs and are keen on doing some new recordings in 2013. What format or how many songs still needs to be decided. Of course we will keep you posted. Last but not least we are still working on a video for 'Emma'. It's taking a long time but we hope to be able to show you the end result pretty soon.
Let's hope 2013 will match up to 2012, or maybe even top it!
In good tradition, we wish you all happy holidays and a great 2013!
